The 2026 CALL FOR DIRECTOR NOMINATIONS / APPLICATIONS IS NOW OPEN.

PLEASE CLICK ON THE "APPLY" BUTTON TO SUBMIT A NOMINATION FORM OR TO COMPLETE AN APPLICATION.

    Nomination forms will be accepted until 11:59 PM ET on January 23, 2026.

    Nominee applications will be accepted until 11:59 PM ET on January 25, 2026.

Application reviews will take place in February and early March, and selected applicants may be invited to participate in interviews as part of the process. Online elections will take place in March 2026. Those placed on the ballot but not elected may be invited to serve on the board of directors by presidential appointment.

New directors will participate in an in-person orientation on Friday, June 5, 2026.

New director terms begin on July 1, 2026.

    The Alumni Association is seeking passionate, service-oriented alumni who are willing to commit their time and expertise to engage alumni and students as members of the Board of Directors

The Alumni Association is committed to creating a nominee pool that represents the diversity of our alumni family and actively strives to achieve inclusivity in terms of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability status, class year, past or present military service, type of degree, geography, profession, and UMass affiliation.

Board members work to engage alumni and students through various outreach, programming, advocacy, and volunteer opportunities in support of university priorities.

In accepting a seat on the Board, directors pledge to actively participate as alumni leaders, fulfill all board member responsibilities, for a total annual commitment of approximately 100 volunteer hours, and adhere to the Volunteer Code of Conduct. Through their service, our directors are able to advance the interests of fellow alumni, support current students, contribute their expertise, and expand their own professional networks, while giving back to their alma mater.
